M2 Junction 1
Junction 1 of the M2 sits at Three Crutches, linking the motorway with the A289. Eastbound, the first exit is Junction 2, 1.6 miles away; westbound, the motorway begins at its junction with the A2. The nearest motorway services are Medway, around 10.3 miles away.
M2 Junction 1 is the exit for Shorne Ridgeway, 0.8 miles away to the north-west. The next sizeable centre is Strood, 2.3 miles east. Within two miles of the junction our map lists 11 places to eat and drink, 3 pubs and 1 fuel station.
This is where the M2 begins, so it is rarely where a journey pauses. Heading east you have only just set out and are unlikely to be ready for a stop; coming the other way you are about to join the A2 towards London, and will probably want to push on to wherever you are actually going. If you do need to stop, The Three Crutches is 0.5 miles off.
