M4 Junction 16

Where is Junction 16?

Junction 16 is on the western edge of Swindon, where the A3102 gives access to West Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett. It's 5.8 miles from Junction 15 and 12.8 miles from Junction 17.

Coming off here

Heading west, Leigh Delamere services are still 14 miles away, so this is a good place to come off. You can head into the west side of Swindon or to Royal Wootton Bassett. Swindon is the functional option, but Wootton Bassett is a lovely place to stop, with a high street full of charming tea rooms.

Where to stop

Head towards Wootton Bassett and there's a BP on the high street, about two miles from the junction. On the way into town there's also a Fastned charging station near an ALDI supermarket.
