M4 Junction 49

Located at Pont Abraham, Junction 49 of the M4 connects the motorway to the A48. Eastbound, Junction 48 is 2.7 miles back; westbound, the motorway ends and the A48 continues west towards Carmarthen. Pont Abraham services sit directly at this junction.

Junction 49 of the M4 sits 0.7 miles west of Llanedi. The next sizeable centre is Pontarddulais, 2.4 miles south-east. There are 2 places to eat and drink and 1 fuel station within two miles of the junction.

This is where the M4 ends, so it is rarely where a journey pauses. Heading east you have only just set out and are unlikely to be ready for a stop; coming the other way you are about to carry on west towards Carmarthen, and will probably want to push on to wherever you are actually going. If you do need to stop, Esso is right at the junction.
