Clacket Lane Services Review – Oct 25

Clacket Lane Services is found between Junction 5 and 6 of the M25 Motorway and it is operated by Roadchef.

It is a well equipped service station on the M25 with a good range of food outlets and a bright central atrium. As well as WH Smiths it has a 24 hour McDonalds, Chozen Noodle, Coco di Mama and a Costa Coffee. It also has a Costa Drive thru if you don’t want to stop and park. Fuel is provided by BP

It has a large truck stop, 8 x Gridserve electric charging points and a Days Inn Hotel. There is a picnic area outside the main entrance with about 10 tables, some of which are under cover

Off The Junction Price Check (Correct Oct 25)

ItemPricing
Petrol / Diesel159.9p / 169.9 litre
EV Charging£0.85 / kwh
Coffee£4.70
Mars Bar£1.70
Bottle of Coke£2.70

We have to raise an eyebrow to charging more for a Mars bar than a Litre of Petrol or Diesel. As always WH Smiths push a meal deal but at £6.59 that’s a stretch for a big family. So make use of the picnic area!

Interesting Features

Postbox Clacket Lane Services

Outside the entrance to Clacket Lane services there is a Post Box with a daily collection at 9am Mon – Fri and 7am on Saturdays.

Perfect if you’ve forgotten to send a post card.

Inside the services there is a display with details of the archeological dig carried out during the construction. It contains details of the Roman road that the services were built on top of – so clearly even the Roman’s experienced the joys of the M25

Clacket Lane Services Overall Rating

Clacket Lane is a solid 7/10 – its got plenty of parking space and a good selection of food choices, including a McDonalds which gets a boost.
