Which junction for Thorpe Park?

Thorpe Park is one of the easiest major attractions in the country to reach from a motorway. Leave the M25 at Junction 11, take the A320 north towards Staines, and the entrance is signed on the left inside two miles. Coming anticlockwise from the west you will pass Junction 12 first — that is the M3 interchange with no exit onto local roads, so stay on until 11. Junction 13 at Staines works as an alternative from the north and adds about a mile.

The one thing worth knowing is that the A320 approach backs up badly on peak-season mornings, and the queue is on the road rather than in the car park. If you are arriving for opening on a school-holiday Saturday, the twenty minutes you save by leaving early are worth more than anything you can make up once you are in the queue.

Practical notes

  • Parking One large on-site car park, paid, noticeably cheaper booked online in advance than paid on the gate. The far bays are a genuine ten-minute walk from the entrance and the shuttle only runs at busy times, so arriving early buys you a shorter walk as well as a shorter queue.
  • Opening Seasonal. Broadly late March to early November, with Fright Nights through most of October and limited winter dates in December. Many midweek dates outside school holidays are closed entirely — check the calendar before you set off, because the park does not open every day even in season.
  • Worth knowing Fuel up before you turn off. The A320 between the junction and the park has no filling station, and the nearest pumps to the gate are back towards Chertsey — an annoying detour at the end of a long day when everyone else is leaving at once.

Prices, calendars and booking are on the official Thorpe Park site. We don’t sell tickets and we don’t take a cut.
